Viktor Yanukovych: We are now witnessing an unprecedented breach of laws being performed under the slogan of political expedience

During today's briefing in Enakievo of Donetsk region, the Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych stated that pre-term elections for Kyiv mayor will be, in his opinion, "the next case of the arbitrariness of the authorities and political forces backing the government".
Viktor Yanukovych underlined that "these elections will be subject to a violation of the Constitution of Ukraine, as the pre-term parliamentary elections were". "We are witnessing now an unprecedented breach of laws being performed under the slogan of political expedience", the PoR parliamentary faction chairman noted.
The Party of Regions Leader expressed his hope that "Kyiv citizens will appreciate the professional approach of the PoR to the matters of establishing order in the sphere of housing and communal services, particularly, in the capital. And I believe that the elections result for the Party of Regions will be much better than the previous one".
Answering a question about an accelerated aggravation of inflationary processes, Viktor Yanukovych marked: "In my opinion, this government and the ruling coalition are not able to restrain inflation and because there is no budget for this year again".
He stressed out that today it is impossible to speak about the economy, about the state-financed sector, as well as about pricing, if the budget, the main financial document of the country, has not been approved yet.
Viktor Yanukovych considers that for the time being nobody is engaged in budget elaboration. They are just searching for the next crisis or conflict to divert public attention from the problems and senselessness existent within the ruling coalition and the government. He reminded that it was not news for the Party of Regions members. In fact, the similar events occurred in 2005. "It is their style. We see it now as well, though in a worse version", the Party of Regions Leader said. | |
