Viktor Yanukovych: Orange power repeats its mistakes

During his visit to Brussels Party of Regions Leader Viktor Yanukovych gave an interview to the Russian TV channel "Vesty". In particular, answering a question about gas challenges which have recently arose between Russia and Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych marked that it is reiteration of the 2005 case.
When we were in the Government, – V.Yanukovych said, – we managed to normalize relationship between Ukraine and Russia. We brought our intergovernmental relations up to a level which allowed forecasting gas prices for 5 years. Tymoshenko's Government wrecked all agreements.
The Party of Regions Leader wondered that the orange team did not take into account mistakes that it had repeated since 2005 and which cost too expensive for the people. Particularly, it does not pay sufficient attention to economy growth, and industrial production augmentation has already decreased from 12 to 5%.
Answering a question about possible development of situation in the Parliament, Viktor Yanukovych noted that there were two possible ways. One should admit that the coalition is incapable and after that think of a new coalition model. If coalition of new composition is not managed to be formed, it will result in pre-term elections. We are against pre-term elections, – Viktor Yanukovych emphasized, – because they will not be of benefit for the state and the people. | |
